A major endorsement victory for former President Donald Trump, who backed the candidate even as other top Republican officials--like former Vice President Mike Pence--endorsed another candidate, has been achieved by businessman TimMichels.

The race was called by the AP at 11:30 pm. A majority of the vote was counted Tuesday.
The lead was held byMichels with 45% of the vote.
