A day after federal agents searched former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence, a congressman said he was confronted by FBI agents and had his phone taken.
According to a statement, three FBI agents approached him with a warrant for his cell phone while he was travelling with his family.

During the January 6 committee hearings, a former White House aide testified that the leader of the House Freedom Caucus asked for a pardon after the storming of the Capitol. The Justice Department is investigating the storming of the Capitol along with the January 6 committee's probe. It's not clear what the status of the DOJ investigation into the January 6 riot is, but FBI agents combed through Mar-a-Lago, at one point breaking into Trump's personal safe to seize documents. Many other top Republicans have echoed Trump's view that the raid was political persecution. According to reports, the search was done in response to the White House records being mishandled.
Trump said that FBI agents searched Mar-A-Lago in an "unannounced raid".
