Ken Block, an American precision driver, was the inspiration for the creation of the S1 E-Tron Quattro. The EV is going to be brought to the US during Monterey Car Week. Walter Rhrl set a Pikes Peak International Hill Climb record in 1987 with the help of the 1985 audi sport quass S1

Block's latest production dubbed Elektrikhana is a play of words between electric and gymkhana and will feature the new performance E-Tron from AUDI. A series of Gymkhana films were produced by Block and his crew. In the past, Block had built a relationship with Ford Performance and would often test custom Ford vehicles like the FocusRS with a drift stick and a 650-hp Fiesta that he plunged through sand for the Gymkhana series.

Block’s friendship ended with Ford Performance — now Audi is his best friend

Ken Block had his first electric car drive experience when Ford let him test-drive a preproduction mustang mach-e, but the ride-along representatives didn't let him test the car's limits To make up for it, Ford Performance built a high-powered 1,400-hp mustang mach-E and Block got a taste of the EV's power. With the relationship with Ford over, Block decided to give his famous Ford mustang to his daughter in December.

The S1 Hoonitron was the first electric vehicle that Block had tried. There were a lot of new things for me to learn here and I was familiar with a wide variety of cars using internal combustion engines and transmissions. In December, Block said that spinning into a donut at 150 km/h directly from standstill was a new experience for him.

From August 17th to August 21st, the AUDI S1 E-Tron Quattro Hoonitron can be seen in Monterey, California. Ken Block is making a film called Elektrikhana, which will be out in the next couple of months.
