There will be separate feeds for your music and your podcasts on the home tab of the service. It is part of an effort to give you more and better recommendations, but it also addresses a common criticism of the experience, which is that it can sometimes be hard to figure out.

The new home feed is the same as before and will be coming to the iPad in the near future. There are two buttons at the top of the screen, one for music and one for shows. You'll be taken into separate feeds if you tap one of those. Recommendations for new shows will be based on what you have been listening to, as well as the latest episodes of your favorite shows. New home screens and filters are not the same as new home screens. I would prefer to have them be separate tabs, but I will accept what I can get.

It looks like the change will be useful for people who listen to a lot of podcasts. Until now, it has been hard to find a podcasts to listen to on the platform, because they mostly chose to mix music and podcasts together. The home screen of the company has not changed much in the last few years.

This is a win for listeners but also an indication of how important podcasts are to Spotify

It's a win for people who listen to podcasts but also an indication of how important they are to the service. The company is looking for ways to make money from audio and has invested a lot in becoming the largest player on the market. The sort of feature that needs a dedicated space in the app is the push into video. Let's not even think about audiobooks, which are a different type of audio product and will be even harder to integrate into the service.

Everything from music to books to live audio has been brought into a single place by the company. The company hasn't always gotten right with that problem. It seems like giving things their own space is the right thing to do. There are a lot of new ways to try to get you to listen to Joe Rogan.
