The team announced that Kelce had elbow surgery as part of a routine cleanout.

Kelce decided to have the procedure after experiencing some residual pain. A league source said it was likely that he would be ready for the season opener against the Detroit Lions.

Kelce has started 122 games in a row, the longest streak of any center in the league. The second-round pick out of Nebraska is listed as the backup on the unofficial depth chart.

Kelce was added to the injury report on Tuesday, along with receiver DeVonta Smith, running backs Kenny Gainwell and Boston Scott, and a young tight end named Grant Calcaterra, who was injured.

The left tackles returned on a limited basis.

Kelce has been named first-team All- Pro four times. His five Pro Bowl nominations is the second most by an Eagles offensive linemen.
