Robert Saleh says Mekhi Becton heading for MRI (0:36)

Robert Saleh gave an update on Mekhi Becton's injury as he left the field. It was 0: 36.

New York Jets starting right tackle Mekhi Becton's season is more than likely over because of a knee injury he suffered Monday in practice.

He feels sick for Becton, who has a chip fractured in his knee. He defended Becton against the shade he has received.

His tale is not over. He has full support of the organization. If you're a fan that wants to support him, you're more than welcome.

The second opinion will be given Wednesday. The Jets were initially positive about the injury, but that changed after the results of an exam.

I just know that everything happens for a reason. Becton posted on social media that he had trust.

The 2020 first-round draft pick injured the same knee that needed season-ending surgery in September, but this is a different injury.

The Jets signed Benenoch to a one-year contract. The free agent tackle visited with them over the weekend and they are still interested in him.

He didn't finish six games because of injuries, and only started 14 of 33 games in two seasons. As he recovered from surgery, his weight became a big storyline.

He reported in good shape after training at the facility before camp despite being overweight at the mini camp. As he worked his way back into football shape, Becton was praised for his hard work.
