New challengers are on the way. At the end of the Street Fighter V tournament, there were two more characters coming to the roster of Street Fighter 6 : Juri, the "I can fix her" returning fighter, and newcomer Kim, an '80s obsessed teen.

Kimberly, the spunky new ninja, and Juri, the sadistic thrill-seeker, join #StreetFighter6 when it arrives in 2023! Spray cans, a portable cassette player, and motorcyles have never looked more fresh. ️ pic.twitter.com/Lnw87p27aP

A student of Guy and successor to the bushinryu tradition,Kimberly is colorful and likes to spray paint her enemies. Even though she is a teenager and Street Fighter 6 seems to be set in the current day, she is enamored with all things '80s, carrying a cassette player that some younger players probably won't even recognize.

In addition to its younger audience, there is a certain subset of older Street Fighter players who look at the '80s with fond memories. It's a reminder of simpler times. She reminds us that the happy days are behind us now that teenagers are adopting the aesthetic because it's quaintly "retro." I appreciate the reminder that I am old.

Juri is a character from Street Fighter IV. Juri arrives in style with an homage to the Akira slide that was used in Jordan Peele's Nope. Juri stomped all over her enemies in bare feet in a way that made Bob Odenkirk click like. Companies seem to embrace the thirst players have for their Characters.

When Street Fighter 6 launches on consoles, we will get to see more of Juri andKimberly's stories.
