After news broke that the FBI searched the former president's club in Palm Beach, Florida, a number of Republican senators came to his defense. According to reports, the raid is part of an investigation into boxes of classified materials that Trump took with him from the White House.
Graham likened the DOJ's investigation to past and current probes of the former president. He didn't accuse the DOJ of being politically motivated.

If Republicans take control of the Senate in this year's elections, Sen. Rick Scott of Florida said he would launch an investigation into the raid. The search was "unprecedented" according to Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming, who is a member of Senate Republican leadership.
McConnell has largely avoided commenting on Trump since he left the White House.
Trump said in a statement on Monday that the FBI search was a Democratic attempt to stop him from running for president in four years.
