The company's latest campaign is an attempt to get Apple to adopt RCS on the phone.

There is a page on the company's website that explains why Apple should support RCS in iMessage. When texting non-Apple devices, Apple's reliance on outdated messages leads to a number of problems, not only for the non-Apple devices, but also for the non-Apple devices' users.

The lack of read receipts, typing indicators, and end-to-end encryption are included. Apple's green bubbles are hard to read, according to the search engine giant.

It's definitely a story we've all heard before and likely one we'll continue to hear for some time, as it's a bit of a mess between the two mobile operating systems. It will never happen, so we have to settle for RCS coming to iMessage. This isn't the first time that Google has called out Apple.

Many of the features that users are used to using in Apple's iMessage can be found in the RCS version of the phone. "Nick liked an image" is no longer a "Nick liked an image" message for users of the Android platform. The new Google Photos integration will allow you to send videos with no loss of quality. Expanding end-to-end encryption is one of the things that is being worked on by the company. It's pretty much one-sided until Apple adopts RCS.

It's not helped by the fact that the messaging around it has been confusing. There are signs that the company is trying to get its act in order.

Apple has been silent on the matter of not supporting RCS. According to court documents, company executives saw iMessage as a big way to lock customers into the platform, so they didn't want to add any more support.

At least no one can say that it's due to a lack of effort on Google's part because Apple won't bring it any time soon.
