Barrhead appoints regional sales manager with ‘extensive’ experience

A former branch manager has been hired by Barrhead Travel as a regional sales manager.

Linda Armit will be the head of sales for the Scottish retail network and Matt Hands will be the store manager.

The new store manager has more than 20 years of experience in travel and worked for Barrhead as a store manager for nine years. He was part of the team that won the department of the year title.

After working as a store manager for Hays Travel's Gyle branch, Hands went back to work for Barrhead after working for a retail optician.

He is excited to be back at Barrhead. I am excited to get involved in some really interesting projects because I have been able to connect with so many former colleagues.

Matt is returning to Barrhead Travel as regional sales manager. Demand for high street travel agents is on the rise as travel recovers and there has been a lot of activity this summer.
