A flight from Wales to the Greek island of Corfu was canceled after passengers were boarded and deplaned twice.
The Wizz Air flight that was due to leave on August 7 was delayed by four hours and then canceled because of technical difficulties and staffing issues.
Wizz Air did not reply to Insider's request for comment.
Sean said the first delay was due to a technical problem with the plane.
The plane had to be turned on and off again. He said they were sent back to the airport with a food voucher that could be used to buy half a sandwich.
After the passengers were boarded for a second time, they were told the pilots had run out of working hours and were deplaning for a second time.
The maximum number of hours a pilot can work is 900 per year.
The passengers were told that the flight was canceled when they came back to the terminal. The plane never left Wales, according to data from flight tracking website FlightRadar 24.
"All in all, they kept us waiting for around four hours while boarding and deboarding us twice, with no help from anyone working for the airline to rebook passengers."
Wizz Air did not reply to Insider's request for comment.
As travel disruptions and staffing issues affect the aviation sector, pilots from many airlines have complained about overwork, toxic work environments, and fatigue.
Jzsef Vradi, the CEO of Wizz Air, faced criticism for suggesting that pilots should be rested. According to reports, Vradi said that pilots should take the extra mile.
