The ability to see your battery percentage in the status bar was one of the most requested features by users of the mobile operating system.
Since the launch of the iPhone X with the notch, Apple has not allowed users to show their battery percentage directly in the status bar, forcing them to look at their current battery level.
That's going to change with the launch of the new operating system. Users can always show their battery percentage in the status bar with a new feature in the fifth developer version of Apple's mobile operating system.
The percentage turns red and the batteryglyph turns yellow when Low Power Mode is used. It becomes green when you charge your phone. The Lock Screen displays the battery percentage in the status bar.
Not all customers with notch-equipped phones will be able to use the new feature.
Here is the list of phones that will have the ability to show the battery percentage.
The battery percentage option is not available on the smaller iPhone 13 mini and the larger iPhone 12 mini. We'll have to wait and see if Apple expands the list to include other phones in the future, as the current version of the software is still in testing.
It's not clear why Apple chose to limit the availability of this feature, but it might be due to space constraints on the smaller displays.
