Papa Bowls are crustless pizzas that can be tailored.

Mark Kalinowski, the CEO of Kalinowski Equity, said that Papa John's might have a competitive advantage.

Three types of bowls are available: Italian meats trio, chicken alfredo, and garden veggie.

Kalinowski told Insider that Papa John's will differentiate itself from the competition by selling pizza bowls. The dish could give Papa John's a competitive advantage.

A major trend that has swept across fast food in the last decade is being harnessed. The brand said in a press release that customers can choose from the menu's options of "crisp vegetables, juicy meats, melty cheeses, and delectable signature sauces."

The "create-your-own" model is credited with the success of many businesses. Despite inflation, this model is still very popular and profitable, with Starbucks customers keeping demand as prices rise, and high income customers visiting the chain more frequently than ever.

Papa Bowls are a new menu innovation. Kalinowski said that Rob Lynch has pushed new menu options that test the limits of what pizza is and what a pizza chain can sell.

Papa Bowls are similar to the Papadias in that they offer a more portable meal compared to a slice of pizza. It is possible that cutting out the crust will appeal to customers who are following a diet that is low in calories and high in fat.

Papa Bowls seem to be a good way to save money on food. The price of a bowl is less than the price of a large pizza. Kalinowski said that the costs are very favorable for Papa John's.

All customers will be able to purchase Papa Bowls on August 22.
