Did you send a text meant for your boss? You have more time to save face and remove it if you use the messaging app.

The company said that users now have a little over two days after sending a message to uninstall it.

You can start using the new feature by opening up the group or individual chat. To get rid of the content, tap and hold it, then select either "Delete for everyone" or "Delete for me"

If you don't update your recipients to the most recent version of the app, you won't get a notification if the message isn't deleted.

This could be a handy new feature that could helpWhatsApp gain a slight advantage over Apple's iMessage. Apple doesn't offer this capability and only will when the new iPhone, iPad, and Mac operating systems are released.

The two-minute time limit for pulling the plug is only for users who have downloaded the beta version as well. It isn't something you can rely on.
