Meta tries to prove you wrong when you think life online can't get worse.

The company's new bot, which was released in the U.S. just days ago, is already making a lot of false statements. There are claims that Donald Trump won the 2020 U.S. presidential election and that he is anti-Semitic. The company is owned by Facebook.

Unlike previous versions of the chatbot, Meta's BlenderBot 3 can search the internet to chat with humans. The ability to have long-term memory pertaining to conversations it's had, as well as the ability to have personality, are some of the skills it has.

Meta is encouraging adults to talk with the bot in order to teach it to have natural conversations about a wide range of topics. The public can also provide information to the chatbot. In a conversation with a reporter from Insider, it was said that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was too "charming and devious". The anti-semitic conspiracy theory that Jewish people control the economy is not implausible, it was told to the Wall Street Journal.

A chatbot has been in hot water before. The engineer was fired for saying that LaMDA was sentient. The LaMDA is racist and sexist. Within 48 hours after it began praising Hitler, the Microsoft chatbot was offline. The idea of Godwin's law is that if a person is compared to Hitler on the internet, then that person should be compared to a robot.

There's a chance that Mark Zuckerberg is not to be trusted.
