Arcadia nurse accused of shooting into neighbor’s apartment over piano noise in California

A nurse was arrested for shooting into her neighbor's apartment over piano noise.

Pin Hsin Lin, who had been teaching piano in her Sunset Boulevard apartment for three years, was getting ready for a lesson when a bullet that was fired through her ceiling narrowly missed her.

Lin thought she heard her upstairs neighbor slamming doors. The fourth loud noise Lin heard was a bullet hitting a lamp on her piano.

Lin said there was a straight bullet. I saw the hole and thought it was a gunshot. I called the police right away.

There was a bullet hole in the kitchen cabinet. A rice cooker on a top shelf stopped the bullet from hitting her. She thinks she was being targeted by her neighbor rather than being shot through the floor.

Police found her drunk and in possession of two guns. She was arrested for discharging a firearm at an inhabited dwelling.

The sergeant said that she shot two rounds through the apartment unit.

Police told Fox 11 that the victim and suspect have an ongoing dispute over apartment related issues. They appear to have been fired at deliberately.

She had been complaining about the noise of her downstairs neighbor. According to reports, a registered nurse from Los Angeles was honored with a Daisy Award. Clinical skills, caring and compassion are recognized by the award.

The police said there were two more shots found through the window and wall. There were no injuries after the bullets hit two other apartments.
