Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for sanctions against the Russian nuclear industry after a power plant in his country was bombed.
"Russian nuclear terror requires a stronger response from the international community, including sanctions on the Russian nuclear industry and nuclear fuel," he said on the social networking site.
Nuclear power has not been included on the list of sanctions passed by the European Union.
Both Russia and Ukraine blamed each other for the bombing of the biggest nuclear facility in Europe.
In light of the shelling, the head of the U.N. atomic agency IAEA on Saturday warned of the risk of a nuclear disaster that could threaten public health and the environment.
The safety of the people is of the highest concern after the phone call.
