Texas Gov. Greg Abbott was blasted by the New York City Mayor after a second busload of illegal migrants arrived at his doorstep.
A bus of around 40 migrants was greeted by Adams at the Port Authority, but only 14 of them disembarked in New York.
Adams noted that many of the arriving families did not know they were coming to New York City.
The families were not allowed to go to other places on the bus. When they tried to explain that they were going to other places, they were not allowed to do so.
There is no plan for what will happen when illegal immigrants are brought to the DC area.
Around 50 migrants arrived at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on Friday. The bus was ordered by Abbott to bring attention to the issue of illegal immigration in his state.
Adams said the governor used innocent people as political pawns to make a crisis.
New York City was not given a proper heads-up when the migrants were going to arrive.
There are immigrants in Cuba after boat runs off the Florida coast.
We don't know when the buses leave. Adams said that they weren't being told what the needs of the people on the bus were. They aren't giving us any information so we can't give the service to people on the way.
Since April, Abbott has sent illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C., to protest the Biden administration's refusal to act on the border crisis.
In addition to Washington, D.C., New York City is the ideal destination for these migrants, who can receive the abundance of city services and housing that Mayor Eric Adams has bragged about within the sanctuary city.
He hoped that he would follow through on his promise of welcoming all migrants with open arms.
