In a recent interview, Rep. Liz Cheney said she would find it difficult to support the governor of Florida if he were the Republican presidential nominee in four years.

While speaking with The New York Times, the Wyoming lawmaker expressed doubts about DeSantis, as many Republicans believe he could govern in the mold of Donald Trump but as a fresh face that could lead the party into the future.

She has criticized Trump for spreading false claims about the 2020 election.

She told the newspaper that she thinks Ron DeSantis has lined himself up with Donald Trump.

Cheney said that she could vote for a Republican in the presidential election in four years.

She said she couldn't support a GOP candidate who wouldn't say that Trump lost the election to Biden.
