Amy Grant, Vince Gill's wife, was injured in a bike accident on July 27 and Vince Gill was performing at the Ryman Auditorium.

Gill canceled performances in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Tysons, Virginia. As part of a celebration of the venue's 130th anniversary, his four nights have continued as planned.

"When my Amy prays" was changed to "when my mama prays" as Gill called upon his daughter, 21-year-old Corrina Grant Gill, to perform a duet of his song.

Gill's pride in his wife's Christian faith was chronicled in a song that ended in tears. Gill commented on the song's release in an interview.

"Amy and I were very different when we were younger." I didn't go to church and she didn't miss it. I didn't have to say "Hey, I'm going to church every weekend" because we got married. Gill said there's the truth in the song. Sometimes we try to change each other When we meet someone we want them to be just as we are, and you want them to be just as you are. It won't happen. It's the best way to love someone. You are going to win if you can love someone at their worst.
