According to a source, the Cleveland Browns have denied a request by running back Kareem Hunt to be traded.
Hunt, who is in the final year of a two-year, $12 million deal, has missed team drills the past two practices and has told the Browns he won't participate until he gets an extension, according to a league source.
Cleveland.com reported that Hunt had a trade demand.
The Browns are waiting to see how long Deshaun will be suspended for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. The league appealed the six game suspension that was handed down by Sue L. Robinson on Monday.
Hunt missed nine games last season due to injuries and finished third on the team in rushing with 386 yards and five touchdown. Hunt had 11 touchdown in 2020.
A year after leading the league in rushing as a first-year player, Hunt was released by Kansas City after video surfaced of him shoving and kicking a woman. He was suspended for the first eight games of the season for violating the personal conduct policy when he was with the Cleveland.
