An unwanted pregnancy is an act of God. The onus should be on the men.

"I will measure my comments as I don't want to get in trouble, but please oppose this amendment," McNamara said.

Some may think this is a joke, but it takes two people to get pregnant, and to put all the onus on the woman is unfair.

Members of the House will shout "aye" or "nay" if the amendment fails on a voice note.

Indiana passed a new abortion ban after the debate.

Hours after it was put on his desk, the governor signed the bill. There are exceptions for rape or incest before 10 weeks after fertilization and in cases where the life of the pregnant person is at risk.

There is an exception if the fetus is diagnosed with a fetal abnormality.
