A TikToker joined the van life movement. With a $4,000 per month income and a clean slate of debt, she decided to live in her car. She's going to call her home soon.

A TikToker and content creator who has been travelling on the road for the last year has a 1990 Chevy G20 van and a 2015 Mazda car.

As her plan to live in her own electric car continues to take flight, she decided to sell her van for $6 a ticket and use the money to buy a Mazda.

Van life to car life

She moved to her van last year because of the high rental costs and low pay she was getting at her previous jobs.

"I didn't want to go out with my friends for lunch because I was worried about not having enough money to pay my rent," she said. I began to meet other van lifers who were also content creators, and I wanted to join them.

A nomad told Insider that she became homeless after trying to live in her van.

If you're living in a van right now, I don't know if it's a good idea to live in it.

The small space, lack of amenities, and pressure from gas prices make living in a car surprising.

I am used to it now. It's not bad for me to live in the Mazda. The temperature is the only thing that I would like to have less of.

He is still able to shower with a Planet Fitness membership that costs $20 per month. She said that a gym membership is a must-have for car life. Sometimes she sits in her house.

The TikToker was able to get rid of her car, credit card and student loan debt as she avoided paying rent and built up her TikTok following that allowed her to pick up brand deals.

She makes a lot of money from each brand deal she signs. She usually does two or three per month. She got $5,000 for a partnership. She has seen her agent's contracts.

Camping in a Tesla

It has been difficult to switch back to a vehicle. She said she doesn't need a big closet or a king-sized bed because she's low maintenance.

When the Model 3 arrives, she hopes her troubles will be over.

The camp mode of the car allows it to regulate its temperature and air flow overnight, making it a more natural hotel than her Mazda.

The gas bill will be low, the electricity bill will be low, and the temperature problems will be solved. I am very excited about it.
