Philadelphia is a generally poor airport. Some airline employees even call it Filthadelphia. And the airport can’t seem to even provide basic services to passengers without an upcharge – like outlets?

Dear @PHLAirport and @AmericanAir

This is bull jive.

It is not paying for power that is the real problem here.

Paying for airport internet made sense at a certain point. It would have been better to not have it at all. Ten years ago in the American Airlines Admirals Club only club members had free internet, while those with a Platinum Amex had to pay for it.

That isn't the norm anymore. Almost anywhere that you are considered a customer or a guest, you will be able to use available wi fi. Inflight internet is close to being free. The airline has had this for a long time. Delta plans to make it free on domestic mainline flights next year.

Inflight and airports have a need for power. It is possible that charging for their use could cause them to be rationed so that the passengers who need them most use them. You will most likely find someone sitting by the outlet not charging their devices, because those outlets are at seats. The power outlet doesn't use up much.

The credit card is being used to pay for food delivery to your seat. The iPad is there. It's all about the iPad. Staffing is cut down by that. People order more if they tether themselves to the gate even if it's 30 minutes before boarding. The shops are brought to them by this.

American's President Wants to Stop Paying Philadelphia Airport Until They Clean Up Filth

The Philadelphia airport announced that it still requires masks in order to comply after re-imposed an indoor mask mandate. Not all of the Philadelphia airport is under Philadelphia's control. Two runways and gates end in Terminals A East and A West.

A passenger videotaped a prayer being offered by an American Airlines employee at the Washington National airport. They sent it to a person who was angry. I don't think it's a bad idea to offer a prayer.

After the earnings call, American Airlines leadership gathers with employees for a State of the Airline in which they are given an update on the airline and then open the floor to questions. Route planning is one of the most popular topics.
