The company said the new product was available in a few countries, including South Korea, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
Images and video from the event went viral on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, prompting Mars Wrigley to issue an apology and assure the public that it would change the content in question.
Mars Wrigley respects China's national sovereignty and territorial integrity and conducts its business operations in strict compliance with local Chinese laws and regulations.

The person who commented on the advertisement got 8000 likes on their comment.
"Say it: Taiwan is an inseparable part of China's territory!" the comment said.
The Chinese government considers Taiwan a part of its territory despite Taiwan rejecting China's sovereignty claims.
On the heels of Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, Chinese officials called it an "egregious pro vacation."
Threats of military attacks and economic consequences were some of the reasons why China tried to prevent her from going. A ban on imports from the country was also announced.
Pelosi and her family were hit with Chinese sanctions on Friday. Apple warned suppliers not to use "made in Taiwan" labels on their products.
At a press event on Wednesday, Pelosi said that they want Taiwan to have freedom with security.
