Biden tests negative for COVID-19 but will continue White House isolation, physician says

The White House physician said that President Joe Biden would continue to be isolated pending another test.

Kevin O'Connor said in a memo that the president had a negative test this morning and that he was feeling well.

He wrote that the president was feeling well. We have continued daily monitoring given his rebound positivity. His test was negative this morning.

He said that the President would continue his isolation measures pending a second negative test.

The White House said that Biden had been taking Paxlovid and had tested positive for COVID-19.

At the time, Biden said he was in good spirits, but he tested positive again on July 30 and remained in isolation.
