Dan Goodfellow won his first individual Commonwealth Games gold to lead an all-England top three.

Defending champion Jack Laugher overcame his nerves to take bronze, while Jordan Houlden won silver.

There were three medals for England in the women's synchronised 10m platform final.

Goodfellow won Olympic, world and European medals in synchronized events. He scored 484.45 points.

He told the radio station that it was a good feeling. To get a result here means a lot to me.

I'm just happy.

Goodfellow finished 19.30 points ahead of Houlden, with Laugher a further 2.80 back. James Heatly was fourth.

Goodfellow won a gold and a bronze in the 10m platform at the Rio Olympics and decided to go solo at the start of the next Olympics.

He said it felt great. It feels good to do my diving on my own.

I enjoy training by myself and doing the events on my own. We couldn't ask for anything better because we all live in Yorkshire.

More medals for Team England

Cheng and Spendolini-Sirieix were out of contention until their final dive, which vaulted them from sixth to fourth.

They took their chance after the last dive by their Canadian opponents.

They scored 76.80 on their final attempt, which was the highest score awarded in the final, to win the silver medal.

She was 14 years old when her partner made her Commonwealth debut.

Spendolini-Sirieix won a gold medal in the individual event.

I'm proud of our team. The crowd is loud and supportive. She said that they did a great job.

It's a really special moment when Robyn and Emily come over and celebrate with you.

It's so beautiful. You compete against each other, but you are a family. I'm happy for everyone.

Birch and Martin looked stunned as they secured a medal on their final dive.

I don't look at the scores, but when I looked at the score and saw that we had a medal, it was amazing. Birch said it was a dream.

Laugher overcomes nerves

He blamed his nerves for an off-par performance in the preliminary round.

He blamed his nerves and the pressure he felt for scoring zero points on the board.

After the preliminary, Laugher said he would take a break before the final. He came back to the Sandwell aquatics centre.

His first two dives in the final saw him finish second and third, but his third dive moved him to the top.

He slipped down into fourth after his off-the-mark fifth dive. He scored his highest mark of 88.25 points with the hardest dive on his programme.

He said he reset his day, came back with a more positive attitude, and tried to show off his skills.

There was one mistake that cost me my position but overall, a great performance all round.

"If you're going to lose out on a gold medal or a silver medal, who better to lose it out on than two of your really good friends, close companions, training partner and also Team England?"

Four years ago, Laugher won a trio of Commonwealth golds in Australia, and victory on Saturday would have made him the first man in history to win three golds in a single Commonwealth Games.

I cannot be upset. He said it was two golds and a bronze.

It would have been nice to have back-to-back wins. It takes a split second for a great diver to make a mistake and that can cost you a medal.

I think I can get better despite the fact that I was on the podium.

The silver medal was Houlden's second medal of the Games, having won a bronze in the 1m diving competition.

He wants to use his medals as a catalyst for bigger things because he was afraid of water as a child.

He said he was lost for words. It's a big accomplishment for me.

Being my first Commonwealth Games, I feel like I stepped up to the pressure and really gave my all.

It's quite the team, standing between two Olympic gold medal winners. It's really good. I want to go to the Olympics and be with these two guys.
