A picture posted by a Ukrainian official shows a skull on a stick outside a building in the eastern Ukrainian town of Popasna, which was captured by Russian forces in May.

The governor of Ukrainian Luhansk province shared a picture on his Telegram channel. The image has not been verified by Insider.

The gruesome photo was taken in July, not far from the center of Popasna, according to The Guardian.

The remains of a person with no hands are near the head. There are metal spikes on the fence on either side of the head where two hands have been placed.

There isn't a single person about the Russians. We are at war with non- humans.

The Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine is where Russia has fought hard to capture territory after its army was humiliated in the first months of the invasion. The army left the town in May. Ramzan Kadyrov, the president of Chechnya, claimed his troops had taken over the town.

Following the shelling of the Olenivka prison, there are allegations of a new atrocity. The other party was blamed by Russia andUkraine.

There are charred corpses and bones in the photos.

A prisoner recently released from Olenivka said that Ukrainian POWs are tortured and murdered.

Anna said they heard their cries. The loud music was used to cover the screams. All the time, torture occurred.

There was a video circulating on social media showing a Russian soldier castrating a prisoner.

I wish I could turn back time and not watch this video. We were aware that this was occurring in the occupied territories. The Russian military killed both civilians and prisoners of war.

Marie Struthers, Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of theAmnesty International, said, "This is yet another example of complete disregard for human life and dignity in Ukraine committed by the Russians."

According to reports, the head of the Ukrainian arm of the human-rights organization resigned after they blamed the country for endangering civilians and violating international laws.

In violation of international human rights laws, Ukrainian forces established military outposts in schools, hospitals, and civilian areas.

The report became a tool of Russian propaganda according to Oksana Pokalchuk.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy slammed the report and said it had sought to offer an "amnesty" to the terrorists.

The secretary general said that the organization stood by its research.
