Michigan State Police to begin statewide crackdown on I-75 this weekend

The Michigan State Police will be cracking down on commercial vehicles on I-75 this weekend.

There will be an operation on the highway from Michigan to the International Bridge. Marie is in the upper peninsula.

There is an operation going on through August 13. The Drive Toward Zero Deaths campaign is trying to reduce traffic crashes that involve commercial vehicles.

Motor carrier officers will crack down on distracted driving, following too closely, improper passing, speeding, improper lane use, and slow down and move over violations in order to prevent crashes.

All motor vehicles will be focused on by troopers.
