Android 13-based One UI 5 beta arrives for Galaxy S22 owners in the US

The update is now available in the US

• Samsung has officially started rolling out the first beta for One UI 5 based on Android 13.
• The update was first available for Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra owners in Germany and South Korea.
• The beta appears to be rolling out slowly in additional regions.

As the summer winds down, we're very close to the final release of the operating system. The point of platform stability for the Pixel devices is only a small part of the puzzle, as evidenced by the fact thatSamsung is getting in on the action with OneUI 5beta.

The company's home country of South Korea, as well as Germany, have begun to receive the new version of the mobile operating system. The OneUI 5beta program is limited to the S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra. It will take a bit longer for owners of the Z Fold 3 to get their hands on the latest version of the operating system.

Some features won't work right in the program. This is the case with the OneUI 5 alpha. It is not likely that contactless payment will work with the new version of the software. Some functions of third-party apps might not be available.

Over the next few days, we'll learn more about the changes to the software. It is possible that the next version of its software will be introduced during the event.

If you want to get ready for the OneUI 5 program to land in the US, you'll need to download the SAMSUNG MEMBERSHIP APP. This is the app required to register for the program, but we aren't expecting this to be a wide release at the moment.
