The Dodgers placed their ace on the 15-day injured list after he left his start at San Francisco with lower back pain.

This is the second time this season that the 34 year old has been on the injured list. He was out for a long time with inflammation.

On Friday, there was an X-ray and anMRI, but no new information was found. Dave Roberts said that he was sore on Friday.

Roberts said that there was no new findings. The best-case scenario came from the magnetic resonance image.

According to Roberts, this injury is more on the left side than on the right side.

The three-time NL Cy Young Award winner was warming up before the fifth and pointed to the Dodgers' bench. He left the field with a trainer.

The nine-time All-Star is 3-7 with a 2.64 earned run average and 88 strikeouts in 8513 appearances.

Chris Taylor was activated by the Dodgers on Friday after missing a month with a broken foot. In 74 games, he's batting.235 with six homers and 27 runs.

Outman was optioned by the Dodgers.

Moronta has an 0-1 record and has 20 strikeouts in 1713 relief appearances. In four games with the Dodgers, Outman was 6-for-13 with one home run and three runs.

In the near future, the Dodgers will need to find a new starter. The man who had Tommy John surgery last year is close to a return. May will be in Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Roberts said that the world will look different in the future. "Then we'll make a decision on whether he should make another one, which is most likely, so now you're looking at someone in our system to make that." It makes sense.
