We don't have a lot of information about what to expect from the new versions of the MacBook Pro.

The machines will get M2 Pro and M2 Max chips that will improve performance. Everything we know about the upcoming 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will be highlighted in this guide, and it will be updated as new information comes in.

Design

We don't expect to see design changes for the new MacBook Pro models. The design of the M1 Pro and M1 Max machines has been updated by Apple, and the company usually uses the same design for several years.

The shape of the Apple device was changed to be flatter and less curved. There are two speaker grilles at the side of the keyboard.

The current MacBook Pro models feature mini-LED displays with ProMotion technology, slim 3.5mm bezels at the top and bottom of the display, and a notch that houses the1080p webcams.

M2 Pro and M2 Max Chips

There will be internal updates with Apple rumored to be using M2 Pro and M2 Max chips in the upgraded MacBook Pro models. According to Mark Gurman, the M2 Max chip will offer up to a 12-core processor, up from the 10-core found in the M1 Max, along with up to a 38 core graphics card.

The M2 Max will be able to hold up to 64 gigabytes of memory. The M2 Pro is expected to be less potent than the M2 Max.

Possible Features

Apple is working on a new type of display. It seems like a long shot that Apple will launch an Apple TV in the fall of 2023, despite rumors that it could be as early as 2022.

There are rumors that Apple is working on Face ID for the Mac, but so far there are no specific rumors that Face ID is coming to the Mac with the MacBook Pro refresh.

The M1 Pro and M1 Max 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models were introduced by Apple in October of 2021. The 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will not be refreshed this year, according to Gurman.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro was updated with an M2 chip for the first time since the M1 MacBook Pro was launched in 2020.
