Maxwel Cornet
Cornet scored nine goals in 28 appearances in all competitions for Burnley last season.

A five-year contract for an undisclosed fee has been signed by Maxwel Cornet from West ham after he paid his release clause.

He arrived at Turf Moor from Lyon for over 12 million dollars.

He was the top scorer for the Clarets last season, with nine goals in 28 appearances, as they were demoted from the premier league.

Cornet played for Lyon for seven and a half seasons and scored 51 goals.

There is a one-year option on the contract of Cornet, who can play as a left-winger, wing-back or full-back.

"It's a new step for me to join this big club and I'm really happy to be here, to be part of the project for the club. I'm just excited to start," said Cornet, who has scored six goals in 29 appearances for Ivory Coast.

I'm really happy to be here for the next stage in my career because I want to play here for that level of play.

West Ham has signed five people this summer, including a goalkeeper and a defender.

He is a versatile player with good experience and will add strength and quality to our squad.

He impressed me with his desire to improve and challenge himself further here at West Ham, after making a big impact with his performances for Burnley last season.

Hammers made Lingard 'a really good offer'

It was "surprised" that Jesse Lingard chose to join the Forest instead of returning to the Hammers, according to David.

Lingard left Manchester United in the summer after scoring nine goals in 16 games for the Hammers.

The club made Jesse a really good offer and I think he's going to come here.

David Sullivan and the owners did everything they could to get him. Certainly, they did.

For a variety of reasons, the club has not been able to get many players.
