The regional round of the NCAA women's basketball tournament will be held in Seattle and South Carolina next year.
There will be two regional semifinals on March 24 and 25. One regional championship will be held at each location.
The NCAA used to have four regional sites.
The host cities for the regional rounds will be named in 2020 in an attempt to keep neutral sites, according to the NCAA associate director for media. Four sites remain for the NCAA men's regional.
The brackets for the men's and women's tournaments will be revealed the same day.
The opening-round women's games will be held on campuses of teams that are in the top 16. All sites bidding for 64 and 32 games must agree to host a First Four game.
Beth Goetz will serve as the NCAA Division I women's basketball chair. The vice chair will become the chair in 24 years.
There were updates on operations, officials, travel, ticketing, branding, broadcast, digital/ social and media in the planning for the championship. The American Airlines Center in Dallas will host the second joint Division I, II and III women's basketball national championship games on the same day in 2023.
An update on the Women's Final Four site selection process was given to the committee.
