Everybody else has been split into its top five for a long time. The Chicago Sky, Las Vegas Aces, Connecticut Sun, Seattle Storm, and Washington Mystics have all qualified for the playoffs. Every game has a heavier feel to it now that six teams are vying for three spots.

Five teams are going for two spots. The Dallas Wings are doing well. Coming off back-to-back victories over the Sky and the Aces, they go into the weekend on a high.

Dallas has won four games in a row. Since moving from Detroit, the franchise has only finished.500 or better once. It went 18-16 in the final season of its six-year stay in the city. Since moving to Dallas, the team has made three playoff appearances, but lost in the first round each time.

The Wings lost six of seven in a row from May to June. The Dallas trade with Indiana for center Teaira McCowan and a first-round draft pick has turned out well for the team.

She didn't score in double figures until June 12 and it took a little while for her to warm up. She's done that in 10 of her last 14 games.

The way Big T is performing is huge and I'm proud of her.

For the past two games, Burton and Tyasha Harris have stepped forward to fill in for Arike, who has an ankle injury. The playoffs are exciting because no one would have predicted that the Wings would beat the Sky.

The difference between moving on to the playoffs and being in the draft lottery will be determined over the next 10 days.

There are two things at stake in this weekend's games, one for teams trying to secure a playoff spot and the other for teams that are already in the playoffs.

Rhyne Howard came up with a block on the defensive end and then scored on a jumper.

There is no way to sugarcoat the fact that the Los Angeles Sparks have lost five in a row. Los Angeles' hopes of making the playoffs have gone down. It will be the first time since 1997-98 that Los Angeles has failed to make the playoffs in back-to-back years. The Atlanta Dream have a good chance of making the playoffs. That might seem high for a team that has lost seven of its past 10, but at 13-18, the Dream and the Liberty are the last two playoff spots. In the last year, Atlanta has not made the playoffs.

Washington has the same record as Seattle and has won six of eight since the All-Star game. Elena Delle Donne will not be going to Chicago as part of her rest regimen. The Sky lost to Dallas but have won seven of their last nine. Chicago plays four teams that have already qualified for the playoffs. Home-court advantage is something the Sky are trying to get throughout the playoffs.

Liberty at Mercury is a song.

Even though Indiana has lost 15 games in a row, Johnson made it clear that the Wings are not going to overlook them. Two of Indiana's remaining games are against the Wings. The Wings can't let the game against Indiana get away, as they begin a four-game home stand.

The Mercury play their final four games of the season in Phoenix, where they are 9-5. Phoenix needs a strong finish to make the playoffs after losing an emotional game at Connecticut on Thursday. The Mercury have a good chance of making it to the playoffs.

The first game she has missed this season was on Thursday.

The Mercury are hopeful that she will return soon. We are going back to Phoenix. We are playing better at home than we are on the road. Three of the games are against teams that are trying to get into the playoffs.

The New York Liberty have won three in a row and four in a row to get back into the playoffs. The Liberty's odds of making the playoffs have gone up.

Sunday

There is a Dream at Lynx game on ABC at 1 p.m. Las Vegas and Seattle followed by Connecticut- Chicago. Sue Bird's last home game for the Storm will be a sellout. The second-best chance to win the league title is currently held by the Aces, who have lost back-to-back games.

Which team has the best chance of winning the title? The sun is at a high. Connecticut and Las Vegas are tied for the lead in the league with 22 wins. The Sun had the best record in the league but lost in the semifinals. The Sky have beaten Connecticut in their first three games.

The Sparks have been fading fast and have to take on the Mystics. A portion of the road in Los Angeles will be finished by the end of the year.

With just four games left, the Minnesota Lynx are 12-20 and had a fast break clinic at Seattle on Wednesday. The Minnesota Vikings have not missed the playoffs since 2010, but the team has a low chance of making the playoffs this year.
