Jon Stewart went against the Republicans for blocking the bill.

Tucker Carlson was called a "dick" and urged to go to journalism school by Jon Stewart in an encounter that took place almost 20 years ago.

Carlson insulted Stewart for his advocacy of healthcare for U.S. veterans. Stewart looks like a homeless mental patient and a guy who lives in the men's room at the library and eats imaginary insects out of the air, Carlson said.

Carlson said that he was screaming and disheveled. I think it's really short. It's too long to date. He was always short.

Stewart reminded Carlson that he was fond of the leader of Hungary, Viktor Orbn.

Friends. Tonite I am sad. @TuckerCarlson believes me too short to date…and yet somehow, miraculously, I remain tall enough to not know what Victor Orban’s ass tastes like! Is it goulash Tucky? Seems like it would be goulash.

There was an encounter between the two on CNN's "Crossfire" in 2004.

The two were hurting America.

He said that you have a responsibility to the public.

Carlson told Stewart that he needed a job at a journalism school.

Stewart said that he needed to go to one.

Carlson claimed that Stewart was funnier on his own show.

What is intriguing, though? Stewart said yes. You are just as bad on your show as you are on any show.

Stewart said sorry to dicks.

The latest round in the feud caught the attention of users on the social networking site.

I think, Jon, if I might ... and maybe I'm reaching here... Tuckums just has really bad memories of you and a certain owning of him in his little bow tie on @CNN... https://t.co/OCziL7Bfbc

Jon Stewart just secured bipartisan support to extend benefits to 3.5 million veterans. Tucker Carlson is still recovering from his 2004 encounter with Jon Stewart. https://t.co/1wfn5gxENB

You simply have to watch Tucker saying “we want answers” about Jon Stewart being “too short to date,” after he had a man come on his show and recommend dudes tan their balls to raise their testosterone levels pic.twitter.com/P7GnNMZW06
