Retweets Ruined Twitter. Here's How to Get Rid of Them

People used to joke about what they had for lunch on the social networking site. It is a place to scroll when you want to be sad.

It's a hell site. Everyone knows it. The question is, why?

My theory is that it was done by retweets. The button that allows anyone to share someone else's tweets with their followers was turned into a video game where earning the most attention from the most people became the goal. Sometimes this is great, like when someone makes a very funny joke. People are more likely to share if the button is easy to use. What people like to share is things that make them angry.

Half of the section is about someone saying something stupid or offensive and people are angry. I figured out how to not see retweets because I think it would be better without them. My life was less stressed by it. You can do it as well.

How to stop all re-tweets.

There is a way to stop seeing all of them. It is a little bit of a hack but it works. If you want to start, open the settings and head to Privacy and Safety, then Mute and block, or click here.
