Kyle Busch and his family escaped the Mall of America after someone fired shots.
Bloomington police secured the scene shortly before 6 p.m., and are looking for two suspects who fled the scene. The day is Thursday. A group of people got into an altercation inside a Nike store, one group left, but two of them came back and one of them fired three rounds into the store where customers were shopping, according to the police chief.
Busch walked away from the chaos while holding hands with his son.
Busch's wife posted videos of their son winning a youth racing event on Wednesday and riding roller coasters with her husband on Thursday before giving a sobering update after the shooting.
She said that they got out of the mall and were safe. I'm praying for others inside as well.
The two-time Cup champion is scheduled to drive in the No. 18 Toyota at Michigan.
