The left-handed pitcher for the Dodgers left his start in San Francisco with back pain.

During his warm up before the bottom of the fifth, he felt a bit uncomfortable. The three-time NL Cy Young Award winner grimaced and walked off the field with a trainer.

"Couldn't really throw after that because I felt a lock up there in the fifth," he said. I have something in my back again. I saw a doctor, but not much else until I see how I wake up in the morning.

The 34 year old gave up one earned run and three hits with four strikeouts while making 66 pitches. The Dodgers went on to win the game and complete a four-game sweep.

"Obviously, anytime a pitcher has to leave a game, there's some concern level," Roberts said. We won't know more until we get some tests, given it's his back.

He has dealt with back issues for a long time. He was on the injured list due to inflammation.

Coming into the day, he was 7-3 with a 2.66 earned run.
