After spending nearly six months in a Russian prison following accusations that she had smuggled drugs into the country, she was sentenced to death on August 4th. The man was sentenced to nine years in prison and fined 1 million rubles for drug dealing.

Curry told Blavity that they need to keep her name in the media and make sure she feels appreciated.

It is a helpless situation when you think about everything that has happened. I think that we will have a safe and swift return for her, even though today is not a great day. The right people are feeling the pressure and I hope that it works out for the right person.
