'Infowars' Alex Jones Must Pay $4.1 Million to Sandy Hook Parents, Jury Decides

The amount to be paid out to parents who lost their children during the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting is $4.1 million.

When the trial began, Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis requested $150 million in damages. Damages will be determined during a second trial.

An attorney for the parents said Jones' legal team accidentally distributed his text messages, which caught Jones in an apparent lie.

The judge chastising Jones for a number of things was one of the highlights.

"Speech is free, but lies you have to pay for" was the family attorneys' closing statement.
