Bradley was let go by the Boston Red Socks on Thursday.
After the team acquired the outfielder and two minor leaguers in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers, Bradley returned to the team.
He was making $9.5 million this season and was hitting.210 with three home runs.
"We were hoping that the offense would be better than it was last year," Alex said. He had some nice stretches at home. He didn't fare well at the end. He was not able to hit the ball the other way. There weren't a lot of strikeouts. There were a lot of ground balls towards the end. It didn't work out well on the offensive side.
During his first stint with Boston from 2013 to 2020, Bradley was a mainstay at the plate, earning an All-Star nod in 2016 and being named the American League Championship Series Most Valuable Player. He had a lot of assists while playing for the Red Sox.
In the opener of the four-game series, Jarren Duran started in center. He had a run scored and a walk, but was not hit.
"Duran has been doing well with his jumps over the last two weeks," she said. He made some changes prior to the pitch. He will play lots.
