  • The Sandy Hook families were defamed by Alex Jones.

  • Jones was told by a Texas judge how much money he should give up.

  • Jones told the judge that it was appropriate for him to make his own decisions.

Alex Jones said a penalty for defaming Sandy Hook parents would sink his website.

The District Court Judge in Texas asked Jones on Wednesday what the appropriate amount of compensation would be for the Sandy Hook parents.

Jones was interrupted by a woman who said he was going off topic and repeated her question multiple times.

"Anything over $2 million will sink us, and we'll be shut down," Jones said.

Gamble said no. She said that it was appropriate for what happened to the parents of Jesse Lewis.

"I think it's appropriate for you to decide what you want to do," Jones said to Gamble.

Jones was sued for defamation by Heslin and Lewis after he referred to the school shooting as a hoax.

Jones should pay $150 million for leading a massive campaign of lies, according to an attorney who is representing the parents.

Jones was found liable for defamation in the case and three other lawsuits in Texas and Connecticut for his depiction of the rampage in which a shooter killed 20 children and six adults.

He testified that Infowars made up to $800,000 per day in the most recent fiscal year and that he accidentally shared his phone number with Bankston.
