  • The August 2022 Pixel update has been seemingly delayed.
  • Verizon has issued a new July update for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
  • Google has already published the August 2022 Pixel Update Bulletin.

Even though we were expecting the August patch to arrive on Monday, the Pixel owners are still without it. Some users are being treated to a July patch instead of the August one.

There is a new update on the software support page of the company. There is a slight difference between the build that rolled out at the beginning of the month and the one that has just been released. The security patch level of the mobile operating system is not changing.

The changelog states that the current software update provides performance improvements to your device, but it's not clear what that means.

It's odd that the August update hasn't been released yet despite the fact that the bulletin shows the vulnerabilities addressed in the patch.

It's not clear if the update was needed before the August patch was pushed out. There is a new update for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro units, according to the information we have.

Adding to the confusion is the fact that the July update is not the first update for the Pixel 6a. Hopefully, things will come together when the August update finally rolls out, but if you're looking for the latest July security update, you can enroll into theAndroid 13beta.
