According to her office, Walorski died in a car accident.

The husband of a woman who died in a car accident was told by the sheriff's office that she was dead. She came home to be with her Savior. Keep her family in your prayers. Her office said there would be no further comment.

The sheriff's office said they were dispatched to the scene of a crash. Police said a car traveled left of the center lane and slammed into an SUV Walorski was riding in, killing him and two others.

The driver of the other car was also killed in the crash.

In 2012 Walorski was elected to represent Indiana's 2nd Congressional District. She was a member of the legislature for three years.

Walorski was born in SouthBend and lived in Indiana. She and her husband used to be missionaries in Romania, where they established a foundation that provided food and medical supplies to the poor. Before she became a politician, she was a television news reporter.
