Brown was arrested and charged with criminal speeding.

Bart Graves, a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, said that Brown was taken into custody on State Route 101. He was released from the jail on his own recognizance after a brief hearing in the court.

Brown will appear in court on August 23.

Brown was pulled over for driving 126 mph in a 65 mph zone. Anything over the posted speed limit is considered criminal speeding in Arizona. It's a Class A crime.

"We are aware of the situation and have reported it to the NFL office as required," the Cards said in a statement. We will discuss it further.

Brown was pulled over for speeding on his way to State Farm Stadium for practice. He talked with Brown about the incident and said he couldn't do that.

He knows he needs to be better and will be moving forward.

We're still working through the details of it all but glad to have him back.

After Zaven Collins was arrested for driving 76 MPH in a 35 MPH zone, he said he would address it.

If you have a caravan coming from one place to the next, you need to be smart and follow the rules, so hopefully you don't have any more incidents, that's what we understand.

During the first six weeks of the season, Brown is expected to play a big role in Arizona's offense, especially since three-time All-Pro DeAndreHopkins is out because of a suspension for violating the league's policy on performance enhancers.

Brown had a good season for the Ravens, catching 91 passes and scoring six times. While working out on his own in July, the receiver injured his hamstrings and hasn't practiced much during training camp. He did not go through a full training camp practice after coming off the active/non- football injury list on Tuesday.

He was not seen at the practice. Shortly before the receiver's arrest became public, it was not clear if the coach knew about it.

He said he hoped Brown would be ready to practice in a week.

"We're going to see," he said. We're not going to be foolish. I want him to be confident when he returns. You don't want him to think too much about what's going on outside. He's going to have enough time this weekend to think.
