It looked like the writing was on the wall.

Airbus cancels Qatar Airways A350 order

According to reports, the entire A350 order has been revoked by Toulouse. Neither company has commented on the matter.

The two companies are involved in a legal dispute over the condition of the A350s. The damage to the aircraft's fuselage is being claimed by both airlines.

The issue with the A350s has caused the Qatari aviation regulator to ground them. Airbus claims that it can cancel its contract if Qatar Airways doesn't deliver the jets.

The airline was supposed to have a fleet of 74 A350s. The airline won't be able to deliver 21 A350-1000 orders because they are still outstanding. Air India is one of the airlines that may be interested in buying these jets.

There was an order for 50 A321neo family aircraft that was canceled earlier this year by the manufacturer. A judge in the UK ruled that the aircraft manufacturer was within its rights when it came to the resale of these jets.

Qatar Airways’ order for 21 A350s has allegedly been canceled

Will Qatar Airways be an all-Boeing customer?

With international aircraft manufacturing largely being a duopoly, that means thatQatar Airways is more or less committed to Boeing Things aren't looking good at the moment, but it's possible that relations will improve over time

Future aircraft deliveries being canceled will be bad news for the growth of the airline.

Currently, as things stand.

After an extended suspension due to production issues, deliveries of the Boeing 787-9 can be continued, so we should be able to get those planes soon.

Two of the planes are more difficult to fly. Boeing is threatening to cancel the plane because it hasn't been certified yet. The Boeing 777-9 was supposed to be in service by 2020 but is now expected to be in service in 2025.

This isn't a good place to be given Boeing's issue with delivering planes.

Qatar Airways has 737 MAXs on order

Bottom line

According to a report, the remaining A350 order from Qatar Airways has been canceled by Toulouse. Given the current state of the Boeing planes, it isn't ideal that Qatar Airways seems to be 100% committed to Boeing. I don't know if we'll see an increase in the order with Boeing.

What do you think about the implications of the A350 order being canceled by Toulouse?
