According to a new rumor out of East Asia, the entry price for Apple's upcoming iPhone 14 will be the same as last year's 6.1-inch version.

According to a post from the account yeux1122, Apple will not increase the price of its upcoming entry-level flagship device in order to boost sales.

Despite the company facing increased production costs and continued supply chain unrest, the decision to impose a price freeze on the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 this year was made at the top executive level.

MacRumors is unable to independently verify the claim that the rumor is from a major U.S. financial institution.

It would be the second year in a row that the price of Apple's flagship 6.1-inch phone has not changed. The base price of the phone was $799 in 2020.

There won't be a 5.4-inch iPhone 14 mini this year. The iPhone 13 mini was the most affordable flagship option in 2021, starting at $699, but it turned out to be unpopular with customers, so Apple is focusing on larger iPhone sizes.

There will be a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. The non-pro models are likely to use the same A15 chip that was used in the iPhone 13 series.

The A16 chip is expected to be used in the iPhone 14 Pro models. Instead, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are said to have a circular hole punch cutout for the front-facing camera.

Some information about the iPad mini 6 was given by the Naver account that is rumored to be the source of today's rumor.

We are taking this latest rumor with a pinch of salt due to the fact that the iPad mini Pro was not released in the second half of 2021.
