Silver Travel Advisor recruits head of retail to drive growth

The newly-created role of head of retail will be filled by award winning agent Julie Crumpton.

Six months ago the over-50s travel specialist introduced a booking service to expand their business.

The Tipto Independent agent of the year was recognised by Travel Weekly.

She has more than 30 years of travel industry experience, including two decades at Thomas Cook where she held a number of management positions.

She built up her own multi-million-pound business of mostly long-haul and cruise bookings after eight years as a business owner with Travel Counsellors.

Since launching the booking service just over six months ago, we have been really pleased with our performance and sales.

Our research shows that our silver travellers are planning to spend more on holidays this year, so now is the right time to maximize our growth potential.

Julie will be instrumental in establishing a brand new team of advisors to support demand as we grow.
