The Dodgers president and CEO said that they had lost an icon. One of the greatest voices in all of sports was Vin Scully. He was a giant and a humanitarian.

He was fond of people. He loved spending time with people. He was a big fan of the Dodgers. He was fond of his family.

His voice will always be heard and remembered by all of us.

When the Dodgers were located in Brooklyn, Scully began to call games. After the Dodgers moved to L.A. in 1957, he continued to provide play-by-play for the team.

Hank Aaron's 715th home run in 1974 is one of the most famous calls of all time.

The 1982 Dallas vs. San FranciscoNFC Championship Game was broadcast by Scully. One of the most memorable moments in the football was when Scully called the catch by Clark.

After being in the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Vin Scully broadcasted games for nearly seven decades before calling his final game in San Francisco.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time." Vin will be missing.

"Thank you for your service Vin, Rest in Power," said James. An icon of the city of angels. Another great sports person.

Vin has five children, 21 grandchildren and six great-grandparents.

It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye.
